John must have been disowned by the Quakers following his church wedding. His burial note clearly states "Non Member", however the births of all his children are found in the Quaker records. If John himself was no longer attending the meeting, it is possible their grandmother passed the details to the Monthly Meeting Clerk.
Some seven years after his death, on April 25th 1815, his widow, Peggy, took her four surviving children to Burgh-by-Sands Church where they were all baptised and received into the Church of England.
This seems to mark the end of the connection of this branch of the family with the Quaker Meeting.
