Shared note | No record has been found of Jonathan's second marriage. In June 1716 he was reprimanded by the Monthly Meeting for not following the "order among Friends that no Friend shall marry within the 4th degree of consanguinity or the 3rd degree of affinity". It seems likely that this refers to the fact that Mary was the widow of Jonathan's brother, John who had died in Dublin about 1711. |
